'Finger pianos' from Zimbabwe's Shona culture date back over 900 years. Shamans use their simple sounds to enter the trance state, and many Shona men believe they must play their mbira before bed if they are to sleep well.

Amber
Three times a year we make a pilgrimage to the remote hills of Chiapas, Mexico to buy amber from the Tzotzil Indians who live in the region. Jewellery is of the simplest design, concentrating on form, colour and light, and always emphasizing the amber rather than the setting.
